QuSCo - Workshop:"Advancing Quantum Sensing via Quantum Control"

9-13 settembre2019 - Tutto il giorno
Aula T1 –Via Venezia,16 (Polo Psicologia - Università di Padova)

QuSCo (Quantum-enhanced Sensing via Quantum Control) is a European training network connecting PhD students. It is part of the Maria Sklodowska Curie Actions and composed of leading groups in the field.
The network aims to establish quantum control as a vital part for progress in quantum technologies.
It simultaneously exposes its students to fundamental questions of quantum mechanics and practical issues of specific applications, offering the best scientific training that the field of quantum technologies can offer, along with specific training in communication and commercialisation.
This workshop, organised by QuSCo’s students, aims to provide an in-depth look at the various platforms that constitute the backbone of the project (Cold Atoms, Superconducting Qubits, NV Centers, Quantum Optimal Control Theory), showcasing both, the theoretical and experimental aspects.
The programme also involves special sessions dedicated to developing a scientific outreach portfolio, preparing scientific proposals and navigating standardised quantum control software.
Furthermore, the workshop includes a poster session to discuss the participants’ research.
Prof. Simone Montangero of the Department of Physics and Astronomy of the University of Padua is part of the QuSCo project (Quantum-enhanced Sensing via Quantum Control). He also superintended the local organization of the event, to be held in the T1 classroom of the Psychology Center in Via Venezia, 16.
